Fishing Report for January 27, 2010

Broken Bow: Catfish good on juglines and trotlines with cut bait. Crappie fair on jigs around structure. Walleye fair to good on crawdad colored crankbaits and grubs in the upper end around points. Report submitted by Dru Polk, game warden stationed in McCurtain County.

Hugo:  Elevation 2 ft. above normal. Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits along the river and creek channels. Crappie fair on minnows. White bass and crappie fair on jigs below the dam. Report submitted by Jay Harvey, game warden stationed in Choctaw County.

Pine Creek: Elevation above normal, water clear. Bass fair on salt craws near points. Crappie good on minnows at 12-15 ft. around brush piles. Catfish good on yo-yos baited with stinkbait. Report submitted by Mark Hannah, game warden stationed in McCurtain County.

Texoma: Elevation normal, water 46 and clear. Largemouth and smallmouth bass fair to good around the deep points and drop-offs. Striped and white bass fair to good in the river channels. Blue catfish fair to good from platter flats north. Crappie fair to good in the upper creeks. Paddlefish fair to good below the dam.
