Darla Kaye Lowery Young, 50, of Broken Bow, passed away February 3, 2010 at Broken Bow. She was born July 20, 1959 in Idabel to Ivan and Marcelene Baker Lowery. Darla had lived in McCurtain County most of her life. She was a nurse and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed quilting, cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and by her son, Rickey Young, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory her father; Ivan “Big John” Lowery of Holly Creek; son and daughter-in-law: Erik and Cynthia Young of Broken Bow; daughter, Erica Young of Washington, D.C.; brothers and sister-in-law: David Lowery of Holly Creek and John and MaryAnn Lowery of Huntsville, Alabama; grandchildren, Kieler Young, Jayden Dykes, Akheem Jett and Abraham Jett and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Friday, February 5, 2010 from 6 to 8 pm at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 2pm at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Westbrook officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery,
