Lola Mae Brown McCoy, 89 , of Eagletown, passed away April 29, 2010 at Broken Bow. She was born January 29, 1921 in Arkansas, the daughter of Harrison and Isabel (Autrey) Brown. Lola was a homemaker all of her married life.
She took great pride in her home. Her hobbies were gardening, sewing and telling her childhood stories. She loved reciting old poems from her school days to her grandchildren.
She had a strong Penecostal faith. She and Willis McCoy were united in marriage on April 10, 1937 and they made their home in Eagletown. He preceded her in death on September 15, 1979.
She leaves to cherish her memory their five children, Yvonne Mangus of Palmer, Alaska, Ronnie McCoy of Eagletown, Linda Douglas of the Oak Hill Community, Sherman McCoy of Denison, Texas and Tanyah Hipsher McCoy of Denison, Texas; Ten beautiful grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 1, 2010 from 6 to 8pm at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home.
