Stanley loved his family and was a strong Christian and man of faith. He enjoyed Texas history, study of Theology and the world. He was a history buff, loved sports, especially the Texas Longhorns. He had a passion for western history and movie classics. He had a large library of books that filled the house to reflect that passion. He served his country proudly and defended it staunchly while serving on the U.S.S. Coney.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marie Howard.
He leaves to cherish his memory his three children Sheila Howard, Steve and Janie Howard and David and Gina Howard; seven grandchildren Brandon, Rhiannon, Jeremy, Christina, David Jr., Megan and Brandy; seven great-grandchildren; one sister Brenda Hylander; host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside services were held today at 2 PM Thursday April 29, 2010 at the Eagletown Cemetery. Bro. Tommy McCaig officiated.
